HAND ME DOWNS

What do I like about you? You are loving. You are forgiving. You are grace. You are mercy. Of course, it’s probably from your love that your grace, mercy and forgiveness extend. They are like fingers from an open hand that reaches to grasp mine. That open hand of love offers acceptance, guidance and security. Sometimes it holds my hand; sometimes it holds me up. Sometimes, it holds the very thing that is needed for that moment – I only have to empty my hands to accept its’ grasp.
