"THE PRESENT: TIME"
“Didn’t we just put all this stuff up?” – the sentiments that my wife and I shared a few days ago when we began pulling out the boxes of ornaments, lights, greenery, winter village and other Christmas decorations.
I’m starting to understand the perplexities of my parents and grandparents of how quickly time passes. Where has 2006 gone? It seems like only yesterday was Christmas. Before you know it, we will be adding an ’07 on all of our checks then moving thru the motions that the ensuing months will bring.
The commodity of time is one of those few things given equally to each of us. Neither you, nor I, nor Donald Trump has any more or less of it. How we choose to spend that time is a different story.
My prayer is that the recognition of the fleeting days will encourage each of us to invest our time in things that matter most.
My hope is that our time will be redeemed through Him who holds our time in His hands.
My joy is knowing that He works all things in His time…including Christmas…which happened “in the fullness of time.”
May each of us find time for Christmas in the coming weeks…since He entered time for us…
